My Story
Janeth Martinez-Cortes is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She received her Ph.D. in Culture, Literacy, and Language from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her work has focused on examining the experiences of second-generation immigrant Latina/o/x students, first-generation college students, the role of immigrant families, and the transnational practices of second-generation immigrant Latina/o/x college students. Her recent work as a National Science Foundation postdoctoral fellow includes transforming undergraduate STEM education for Latina/o/x students through faculty professional development.
